2020 brought change for all of us. Not only from the lockdown, to shifting our jobs, school, so many changes. Personally, I prefer change to be slow… not really thrust upon me. I want to know, how are you doing with all the changes, or did your life not really change?! Personally.. my life shifted from what felt like one end of the spectrum to the other. It started with the lockdown, and at home schooling for Mags, then came summer, my separation, moving into my parents (the kids and I had one room for the three of us), then finally finishing off the year in our own apartment in the country. The kids windows face the sunrise, mine face the sunset, the moon shines in my windows so bright. I love it so much! I can say that 2020 tested me, but in the midst of all that I got to photograph births, babies turning 1, pregnant mamas, families, and weddings! ❤ I want to be honest with you, but some days I really struggle with being grateful to be here.. it gets to be overwhelming. I want to say that it must just be a fact of being a mother…. maybe its all of it. Homeschooling, the separation, my emotional trauma, and everything that comes with all of that… I guess. I am not really sure, and most of the time I am unsure of myself. The few things I truly know are that
In 2021 I have some goals, and new photography sessions that I want to capture. One of the session types are Day in the Life sessions. Its basically simple and just giving you (or you and your partner/ you and your family) about 3 hours of my time. We let the moments unfold and capture what happens. ❤ I have 3 openings for intimate weddings in 2021, I got to capture some in 2020.. they were so much fun! It was beautiful to get to see families come together and still celebrate a couple coming together. Later this month I am going to be releasing a 7 day self love challenge to start on February 7th (my dads birthday!!) ❤ I am open for taking one birth a month, in which I must say that I have strict guidelines set in place regarding all sessions and my exposure to people. Basically all year.. as one a month, the best way to guarantee my health is to keep my distance and stay home ❤ I am also taking virtual sessions, which are fun to do! We set you up in a well lit room, get on facetime, chat and I capture fun little bits of you.
I am available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s for sessions, I can fit in weekday sessions once a week for an automatic discount of 11%. You also have the option of booking multiple sessions at one time for 44% discount. I want to be able to support my local communities so I am just putting it out there that I am open for barter. Something a bit personal is that one thing I want to do this year is be more consistent in all ways. In my morning routine, in the way I show up for my friends and family. Professionally, my consistent in my blogging, my social media, my emails. I want to read 12 books this year, finishing one a month. I have some really amazing ones, and some personal goals I want to accomplish. The one thing I really want to do is LEARN HOW TO SHOW UP FOR MYSELF! I am learning how to love myself in my own love language, which feels a little bit like having to learn common core math.
