You guys get 90 minutes in-front of the camera, this gives us the time to venture and truly explore. Allowing kids to be kids, and possible (likely) meltdowns happen, oh and extra images… plus maybe a few extra tid bits of love from me(cough cough: video!). My typical turnaround for family sessions is approximately three weeks. If you are a last-minute kinda person (like me.. yes control freak times procrastinator!) — don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Jump to the front of the line and get all your goods back in 72 hours.

One of my main goals this year is to make sure these pictures don’t live and die on the internet. I want to make sure these moments have a place inside your home, more than just on your computer. We offer in home gallery wall design, and handmade local frames!

IS IT WEIRD TO ASK IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT FOR OUR FAMILY?

Not a weird question at all. If I’m being super honest, I don’t think of this relationship as one between business-owner and clientele— I see it as a friendship. Call me corny, but photography is a pretty intimate thing. For me to do my job to the best of my abilities, we have to like each other. If we are being even more honest, I don’t have the easiest personality— I am loud, inappropriate, probably talk a little bit too much shit.

Truthfully, I love bad kids (believe me when I tell you I’ve seen it all, my own children are probably the most feral and well-behaved kids - its a little weird), I love sweet kids, I love loud kids and I love quiet kids.

To be frank, I am not for everyone. My site is where I share my heart, where you can get to discover who I am. I would also rather you realize you and I wouldn’t be a good fit over the internet than in the middle of a session, because that is not fun for anyone.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT FROM A TYPICAL SHOOT WITH YOU?

A LOT OF LOVE!

I capture your family at their happiest (hence, the laughing and jokes) but I also want to photograph you in your absolute best light on your absolute best day. This means I am watching those double chins and posing you and moving you in ways that will best flatter you—because looking back you want to LOVE these photos right!

A session with me includes those super boring pictures of everyone smiling and looking at the camera— because I feel like, we need those in life, but pretty quickly, it turns into a lot of playing and games. You truly won’t realize what I get to capture until you see your images.

I am a crazy toddler who doesn’t know boundaries during sessions. I do respect boundaries though. Communication is helpful in all areas of your life.

I’VE GOT A LOT OF IDEAS FOR WHAT I WANT. HOW SHOULD I GET THOSE TO YOU?

Just going to rip the band-aid off… I’m not all about it, but if you really feel like you want something special, then make sure you talk to me about it.

I do use a platform for managing my clients that I can share with you, and you can save your favorite images to your session for me.

I just want to capture you guys being a family. And laughing. And playing. And LOVING.

If you truly let me do what I do, you will LOVE IT!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. how is that determined?

You get to choose where you want whether we shoot outside, or in home. I have been doing this for five years. I’ve driven everywhere, I’ve shot in every location, we’ve seen every open field, waterfall, tree, building, etc… and what I have found over those 5 years: location should help to bring focus to you not take focus away from you.

Together we will choose location based off your family. My goal is to not to only give you the best pictures you’ve ever had, but also the best experience you’ve ever had.

OUTFITS. This is always so difficult!

This is one of the biggest stressors when it comes to family pictures— you want to look good, but sometimes unsure of where to start. Styling is important to the session, but honestly its all about cohesion.

I want this process to be painless and stress-free for you. From beginning to end, we want you to feel taken care of.

FOR REAL, HOW MANY ARE WILL WE RECEIVE?

I know. Some people need EXACT numbers. I can’t give it to you. Every family is different. Every session is different. Here is what I can say: I don’t leave stuff out. If we did something, it’s going to be in there. I include images that have very small differences, because if there is one thing I have learned is that MY favorite and YOUR favorite might not align, so I include everything.
